Summary: Not Much Better Than a Solutions Manual
Comment: I purchased this for a Calculus II course because the book I had had some rather challenging problems. I bought it because I thought it was going to be exhaustive in its solutions. Unfortunately this was not the case. Some problems in calculus require less explanation that others. For this book however essentially all are given the same weight. Because of this you are left with a "how in the world did they come up with that?" type of feeling at the end of the problem. It is a good book however and the sheer number of problems solved is helpful when you have very specific things in your homework you need to see. Also there are general lessons on the topic before each chapter. This is a good resource but should be used in conjunction with other calculus books.

Summary: A great help
Comment: I bought this for my son to help him in a college calc class and he said that it is a great aid. He would recommend it to anyone taking Calc.II

Summary: Use with Calc 1-2
Comment: The title says it all. It is a great resource for problems in calc 1 and 2. I used it because my book (Stewart) lacked sufficient example problems, and this book is basically all example problems. After you get the basics of the problem down after a while, you can work through the problems on your own, and it is very convenient that the answers are right there on the same page.
The shortfall of this book is lack of material relating to calc 3. For a different supplement, I recommend schaum's Vector Analysis, written by Spiegel.
Overall, this book is pretty good. Worth the money if you are struggling and need more examples, or if you would like a challenge because your class is boring you to death.

Summary: helpful product
Comment: This really helped out with understanding Calc II. Good buy, especially in the case where the teacher was even more vague and confuding than the textbook, if you can believe that!
